Since 2021, Safe Metal has been pursuing its strategic value integration plan in France with the acquisition of a machining cluster consisting of 2 production sites based in the North East of France – Mécanique 2L and Cabanes Industries.
With this acquisition, the Safe Metal Group strengthens its machining capabilities.
With a more integrated, more responsive offer, the Group continues its development thus allowing it to respond more effectively to the challenges of its customers on the needs for co-design and development of complete solutions.

Specialized in the precision machining of medium and large series, Mécanique 2L and Cabanes Industries put their know-how and experience at the service of the biggest names in the industry.
For more than 30 years, our teams have been machining customized solutions for the aeronautics, defense, construction, railway, agricultural, hydraulic and much more sectors.
Our 2 production sites Mécanique 2L and Cabanes Industries allow the machining of any part in medium and large series.
We ensure the machining of all types of materials (aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, steel…) from foundry, forging, mechanized welding or mass cutting.

Our factories dedicated to machining are equipped with a regularly renewed machine park to guarantee quality and productivity.

Our sites are equipped with 3, 4 or 5-axis machines for the production of more complex parts, allowing global robotization and digitization of the factory.

Respectively created in 1979 and 1994, the companies Cabanes industries and Mécanique 2L constitute the pole dedicated to machining of the Safe Metal Group. These two sites combine strong technical expertise for several decades.
