The Safe Sport Santé Project

From September 12 to 27, Safe Metal teams are coming together for a challenge like no other: getting active, taking care of their health, and helping their site come out on top.

Over these two weeks, Safe Metal Group employees are invited to clock up as many kilometres as possible — walking, running or cycling.

A sporting challenge… but above all, a collective one

The principle is simple: each participant records the kilometres they cover during the 15-day challenge. There is no need to focus on individual performance: every kilometre counts towards the team effort.

A walk with colleagues, cycling to work instead of driving, a weekend run, or simply adding a few extra kilometres to your day… everyone can take part at their own pace.

The kilometres covered are converted into points, which are added to a scoreboard and used to rank the different sites across the Group.

Beyond the competition, the Safe Sport Santé Project reflects a strong belief: taking care of your health can also be a collective adventure. The aim is to create momentum around several issues that matter to us:

  • Health – encouraging daily physical activity.
  • Team spirit – sharing a different kind of experience with colleagues.
  • Sustainable mobility – encouraging more active and sustainable ways of getting around.
  • Commitment – turning the kilometres covered into a meaningful act of solidarity.

Move for yourself. Move together. Make a difference for others.

And because collective commitment can go even further, Safe Metal has chosen to give the challenge a charitable dimension. For every kilometre covered during the challenge, a contribution will be donated to a charity. The more our teams move, the more they can move things forward.

From Vitoria to Xuzhou: how far will we go?

Safe Metal is an international Group with operations across several continents. So, what if we symbolically connected our sites — from Vitoria to Xuzhou, via Chihuahua? We would have to cover nearly 21,824 kilometres as the crow flies.

Over these 15 days, will our employees manage to go even further?

One thing is certain: every step, every pedal stroke and every stride will bring us closer to a shared goal. Let’s turn every kilometre into collective energy. So… which site will make the difference?

Over to us!
